The Last Laugh

This piece hasn’t had an audience outside of myself since 2009. The male central character and the angel were the work of my then boyfriend. I colored the piece and added the strange, slinky demoness in the background. She smugly lights a cigarette with blue-hot flame, as if she planned the whole ordeal. It is implied that the flames all emanate from her.
Unfortunately, circumstances and craziness lead me to destroy the original..this is a photo I discovered and digitally enhanced, thus the graininess.

So, after baking, the mask flattened out quite a lot.  I ended up trimming off some of the edges, but its still pretty wearable.  Not sure how to paint it.

This tree floats in outer space,

and late each night

I’m at its base,

catching stars

in bell-jars.
